Playful Primer Activities

MATCHING

Matching exercises are a simple and effective way to develop basic language comprehension and classification skills. Playful Primer includes three unique matching activities. These activities begin with basic 3-way matching; and graduate to the most difficult 8-way sorting.

MEMORY

Visual memory exercises help develop a child's ability to focus and retain information. Playful Primer includes three engaging visual memory activities. These activities graduate in difficulty by increasing the number of items to be remembered, and adding visual complexity to challenge the child's visual discrimination skills.

LISTENING

The ability to listen and remember words in a sequence is a necessary skill for interpreting language. Playful Primer includes two auditory recall exercises. These activities progress from simple two word phrases to longer sequences with added visual complexity that challenge the child's cross sensory processing skills.

FREE PLAY

Self-directed play stimulates a child's natural curiosity to learn, and explore independently. Free Play provides an environment of exploration and guaranteed success. This activity is specifically designed to provide consistent, positive reinforcement and reduce performance anxiety. There are no wrong answers. Play is open-ended and unstructured.
